JoAnn Moy graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Graphic Design. After spending 20+ years as an Art Director, she was pulled back to Fine Art and began focusing on painting full-time in 2019.
“My favorite childhood memory is when I first reached into a huge bin of finger paints. Since then I’ve been painting landscapes for a few years and have recently started a new direction. Maintaining a looseness with the paint where some of my earlier landscapes were tighter; I am now experimenting with thick swipes of the palette knife, splashes and wisps of thinned paint and bright contrasting colors, allowing washes of paint to drip in some areas, scraping away layers of paint to expose the colors beneath in others.”
